Qt 4.7.0 on FreeBSD

Posted in

Qt 4.7.0 has been released yesterday. I hopes that nothing has changed dramatically in the compilation since its beta and release candidate versions. It is indeed very easy and no patching is needed at all.

$ tar xfvz qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.7.0.tar.gz
$ cd qt-everywhere-opensource-src-4.7.0
$ setenv QMAKESPEC freebsd-g++34
$ ./configure -prefix /usr/local/qt-4.7.0 -opensource -nomake demos -nomake examples -no-qt3support
$ gmake -j3
$ sudo gmake install

So far no problems have been detected. If they appear, I will share the solutions.

FreeBSD version

Re: FreeBSD version
